Week two, and I’ve resorted to paper clips. Making sure all my bases are covered. Including the important “whatever” category.
A yogitoes mat to keep me from from doing a face-plant into my mat during downward-facing dog.
A “Gemini” sandwich from North Star Cafe.
A tank of gas.

I’ve seen the envelope method used for cash buying, but the paperclips are a good idea too.

Nice idea of using paperclips. I have been trying to use cash more to gain control of my spending but find the envelopes to be quite bulky.
That sandwich looks delish, may have to stop at Northstar during my trip to the city tomorrow. (only in Maine is living 20 mins south of Portland considered a trip to the city)

Your Lenten sacrifice is commendible, and sets a terrific example for everyday budgeting. Maybe I’m pointing out the elephant in the room, but what about packing up your own tasty creations for lunchtime & snackies? Imagine how much more yarn (or freshly brewed maple syrup) that you could buy! Just a crazy thought…
